J. Ellis Bernard, D.D.S.
Dr. J. Ellis Bernard graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2001. Following dental school, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Bernard’s first position as a dental practitioner was with Louisiana Dental Center in Covington. He has spent most of his remaining career providing high quality of care in Bogalusa. “Now that I am returning to Louisiana Dental Center in Bogalusa, it is truly a great homecoming. I feel like my life and career have come full circle, and I believe this is where I belong. I will continue to provide the excellent quality of care my patients are accustomed to and look forward to serving them at my final career destination.” says Dr. Bernard.Dr. Bernard enjoys spending time farming with his wife, Cindy, and delights in taking care of all their animals. They are both avid fishermen and love fishing vacations in Grand Isle. Dr. Bernard is also a big Saints and LSU fan.

Adam Berthelot, DDS
Dr. Adam Berthelot grew up in Chalmette, Louisiana, and now resides in Mandeville, Louisiana. He graduated from Brother Martin High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. Dr. Berthelot worked as a microbiologist for Domino Sugar Refining before pursuing his career in dentistry. He graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Berthelot is married, and has two daughters. He enjoys fishing, hunting, entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

Kimberly Brown, D.D.S.
Dr. Kimberly Brown was born in Shreveport. She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, majoring in biological sciences and minoring in sociology. She then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Brown is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, cooking and reading.

Roy Cantrelle, D.D.S. 
Dr. Cantrelle was born in Metairie, Louisiana, and grew up in Chalmette. After graduating from Holy Cross High School and completing undergraduate coursework at Louisiana State University, Dr. Cantrelle earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2002. In addition to golfing, running and avidly supporting the LSU football team, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Ann-Marie Christen, D.D.S.
Dr. Christen graduated from LSU School of Dentistry and loves giving every patient a smile they love. Dr. Christen believes every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and strives to make every patient comfortable while in her dental chair. She is married to her husband, Luke, and has one daughter. She also has two furbabies, Spur and Tito, who make their annual appearance at the Mardi Paws parade. In her free time, Dr. Christen loves to travel with her family.

Monique Giarrusso, D.M.D.
Dr. Monique Giarrusso was born and raised in Covington, LA. She graduated high school from St. Scholastica Academy and earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. Dr. Giarrusso graduated from LECOM SDM in Sarasota ,FL with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. After graduating, she returned home to Covington. In her spare time, Dr. Giarrusso enjoys spending time with her family, long-time friends, dogs Bear and Lucy, and traveling to the beach as often as possible.

Joseph R. Lacoste, Jr., D.D.S. 
Dr. Lacoste was born and raised in the New Orleans area. After graduating high school from The New Orleans Academy in 1972, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1980.Dr. Lacoste is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the New Orleans Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He always finds time to be with family and friends, and enjoys fishing and playing music.

Jacob Lensing, D.D.S.
Dr. Jacob Lensing is from a small town in Iowa and attended Calvin University, where he joined the swim team. He obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa and is doing a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Lensing loves the small town life and his dream is to win the lottery and move to the middle of nowhere with lots of land and farm animals.

Ashley Lestrade, D.D.S. 
Dr. Ashley Lestrade is originally from Fairhope, Alabama, but has settled in Louisiana. She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, graduating in 2006 as a University Medalist with a 4.0 GPA. Dr. Lestrade subsequently earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery and Orthodontic credentials from LSU Dental School. She received the International College of Dentists Leadership Award as a graduating senior dental student and the Jerome Hebert Award for Achievement as a first-year resident. Dr. Lestrade is married and has two daughters. She enjoys spending her spare time playing with the children and going to the zoo.

Samuel P. Miano Jr., D.D.S.

Dr. Miano is a lifelong Louisiana resident who lives in Mandeville. He graduated from De La Salle High School in New Orleans, earned an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans.

Dr Nguyen
Vy-Vien Nguyen, D.D.S.
Dr. Vy-Vien Nguyen was born in New Orleans and raised in Slidell. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Louisiana State University. Dr. Nguyen then earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at LSU School of Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, she loves traveling, being by the water, trying new restaurants and enjoying new experiences.

Norm Thompson, D.D.S.
Dr. J. Norman (Norm) Thompson completed his undergrad studies at Louisiana College and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1987. He began his career by opening his own dental practice in Alexandria, Louisiana. Dr. Thompson has spent the last 37 years providing all aspects of dental care to four generations of families. He prides himself on putting his patients’ comfort and care first. After selling his practice of 37 years, Dr. Thompson began his search for a home in Southeast Louisiana that would bring him closer to his family. He has thoroughly enjoyed living in the small town of Bogalusa and looks forward to being of service to you and your family and to become part of the community. Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife Jenny and their grandchildren on his beautiful property along the Pearl River.

Justin Wu, D.D.S. 
Dr. Wu was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Kansas and his dental degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Wichita State University. Dr. Wu has an identical twin brother and enjoys golf, college basketball and football, reading, flying, and playing with his dogs. He is also strongly committed to continuing education in dentistry.
